CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A 30-year employee of the West Virginia Division of Juvenile Services has been named superintendent of the state's flagship juvenile center in Tucker County.

Dan Dilly had been serving as acting superintendent at the Kenneth "Honey" Rubenstein Center. He was named to the post permanently on Friday.

Dilly began his career as a counselor at the Huttonsville Correctional Center in 1983 before moving to the Rubenstein Center's predecessor facility in Davis the following year. He was director of treatment and programs when the Rubenstein Center opened in 2009.

Dilly succeeds Stephanie Bond, who was named Division of Juvenile Services director.
