Capital Recovery opens

Capital Recovery Systems Inc. has opened its new Steubenville location in the Jefferson County Center for Economic Development, 630 Market St., a building the company bought from the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce nearly a year ago. Capital Recovery Systems works with 320 court systems in seven states to collect delinquent fines as well as with municipalities to collect delinquent utility bills. Capital Recovery is increasing its presence in Steubenville, planning to hire another 25 workers. The company already had about 25 workers in Steubenville, and 54 at its headquarters in Columbus. Capital Recovery has collected more than $100 million throughout Ohio, including more than $600,000 in Jefferson County and Steubenville. Craig W. Klein, president, is a Steubenville native and vice president Dennis Johnson is a Smithfield native.
