STEUBENVILLE - Walk in the door at Aubrey's Bakery and the fragrance of fresh baked cookies is immediate.

The family owned and operated bakery at the corner of Sunset and Hollywood boulevards is now entering its fifth year of offering a variety of cookies and cakes for just about every occasion.

The business is owned by Aubrey and B.J. Nurczyk and managed by Aubrey's mother, Becky Salvino.

"We have walk-in business as well as special orders that include theme cookies. We can bake special cookie orders that will fit every customer's needs and budgets. We can also bake special cakes for birthdays, graduations, weddings and every other special event," explained Salvino.

According to Salvino, "Aubrey and B.J. saw the opportunity to open their own business nearly five years ago, and with the support and encouragement of their families they have made their business opportunity a reality."

"And what is extra special is we built a playroom adjacent to the bakery that has allowed Aubrey and B.J. to bring their two children, Nicholas and Julia, to work. We definitely have a family atmosphere in our bakery that is also supported by our friends," Salvino said.

"Aubrey's Bakery has the homemade touch. These aren't your ordinary cookies and cakes. They all have the extra touch that not only makes them delicious but makes them special. We make a special effort to work with our customers to offer them something special," said Salvino.

The business located at 2211 Sunset Blvd. is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

"We now offer gift certificates that allow customers to offer a chance for someone else to pick out their own cookies," Salvino added.
