Delmis Nottingham

NOTTINGHAM, Delmis R. “Del,” 65, of Wintersville, Ohio, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Trinity West ER.

He was born in Duck, W.Va., on December 27, 1942, a son of the late Denver and Tressie Jarvis Nottingham.

Del was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church; American Legion Post 557; was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he worked as a lab technician; and was a U.S Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Archie Scott; and brothers, Russell and John Nottingham.

Del is survived by his wife, Frances Archer Nottingham; daughters, Linda (Todd) Morckel of Minerva, Ohio, Teresa (Patrick) Retzer of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Diane Nottingham and her fiance, Kelley West, of Canal Winchester, Ohio; brother, Robert “Red” (Linda) Nottingham of Wintersville; sister, Yvonne (Bud) Gotschall of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio; mother-in-law, Mary Archer of Wintersville; stepsister, Patty MacGregor of Warren, Ohio; grandchildren, Justin and Emily Retzer; and dog, CoCo.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 9:30 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini as celebrant.

Burial in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.

Dillonvale American Legion will conduct graveside services.

Vigil service 3:45 p.m., on Wednesday.
