Giuseppe ‘Joseph’ Aquino

AQUINO, Giuseppe “Joseph,” 93, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Monday, May 5, 2008, in the Laurels.

He was born August 20, 1914, in Giosa Ionica, Reggio Calabria, Italy, the son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Fazzolare Aquino.

Joseph was employed by Starvaggi Industries for 27 years and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and The Knights of St. Anthony and Joe’s passion in life was gardening and wine making.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Severino Aquino, of 66 years, whom he married October 9, 1941; one son, Vincent (Judith) Aquino of Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter, Mary Ann Tiberio of Steubenville; five grandchildren, Charles Vincent Aquino (Krysten), Peter Joseph (Melissa) Tiberio, Timothy Harrington Aquino, Julie Ann Tiberio and Bonnie Kathryn Aquino; three great-grandchildren, Charles Vincent Aquino, Jr., Morgan Elizabeth Aquino and Kaitlyn Grace Aquino.

Calling hours are today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. William Cross as celebrant.

Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

There will be a Vigil Service Thursday at 3:45 p.m.
