I do understand an being a resident myself possible longer than you have been alive. Are you insinuating the Steubenville Police Department is associating with the Criminals ? You better contact the Ohio Attorney Generals office or the FBI with your so called information.

You daville don’t seem to understand the “Residents” point of view, the other side of the coin and you use the words, ”We are a small town dying everyday”. The criminal climate that has been allowed to escalate throughout the years is associated with the Steubenville Police Department, like it or not, it is a reality, a matter of fact. Public scanners help to tell the true story, people are well aware of who’s dedicated to their oath, yes there are Steubenville police officers that are “Very Qualified” for the position. But the whole point behind the “External” language is to permit the Option for voters who have been drained of hope and fear the same old same old. It’s unfortunate that it has come to this and you have to ask Why? “External” to residents means “hope”, someone with no baggage, a record that demonstrates their proficiency and their knowledge about the Law. We all appreciate loyalty, but Try to understand this, try to see it through the eyes of the Residents.

Thank You Mr. Mavromatis & Charter Comission Members. You have made decision easy That is to VOTE NO ! on the charter lanuage change with just this one issue You have broken the backs and hopes of any officer to further educate their selves. What Mr. Cook said has alot of merit to it. This ia not New York City or chicago,We are a small town dying more every day. The only reason any outsider would come to Steubenville would be for the money, Goodbye dedication and twenty years of hard work. I VOTE NO !
