Like a person we all know that won't go out and look for a decent job that might want him to work. He wants the his lively hood legislated for him by raising the Min. Wage for burger flippers.

RPG0340, they may not be a law breaker, or had been fired several times, like at least one individual here.

They might just be bone lazy.

Like the same individual.

Actually Hagrid, if a person looks for work 40 hrs. a week and cannot find decent employment, I'd wager that there is something wrong with that person or their work record. I'd never hire someone that was a convicted felon. I'd also never hire a person that has been terminated several times from multiple employers.

"That's not a basis to feed children, pay expenses or provide educational opportunities."

Not meant to be. That's why they call it MINIMUM wage, and ENTRY level. It was never meant to raise a family. If one is working for minimum wage, he/she should develop a skill before starting a family.

"Second, nobody gets paid not to work by getting unemployment compensation."

Wrong. There are jobs available, and it is certainly not a 40 hour a week job to job hunt. If an unemployed person looked for a job 40 hours a week, for over a year, and couldn't find one, there is obviously something wrong with their search.

"When corporations like Exxon, GE and others pay no taxes, I'd say that their tax rates are just about as good as they get."

Can you explain why corporations don't pay taxes on their income?
