Excellent letter, Merica. Factual, and to the point.

Who is killing who? To answer that, just look down river to West Virginia if you want a sign of no regulation (300,000 effected). There has to be some control wouldn't you think. West Virginia has been killing itself from these unregulated companies and others like it around the nation. Let's not sell your soul to have a business come in and have free reign on the environment.

All US companies have regulations that they have to follow given by bureaucrats. The water that was contaminated was an accident, I don't believe that a company would invest and employee people to sabotage the environment. You ,echo , must be either the most intelligent or stupid person on all things government regulations.

Whether it was an accident OR not, it happened and you saw the result. Now dig a little deeper and every ACCIDENT in the areas effected were due to poor upkeep of the facility. Though you were smarter than that. If there would have been some oversight, then maybe I could accept it was an accident. Substandard is substandard and West Virginians (300,000) now understand what regulations could have possibly avoided. I thought I read somewhere that there will now be some regulations/oversight of various facilities to avoid things like this in the future. This should not be about politics, but the people.
