bKnees, government cannot create jobs. What government does is tax people, and create a bureauacracy that has only one goal, that being to ensure it's own survival. So, any time a government job is created, several private industry jobs have to be created to support it. However, those jobs that have to support the government job must be created by private business owners that are taxed heavily. Often they say "heck with it" take their profits, shut their doors, not wanting to deal with it anymore.

Agreed, Ms. Krupinski. One thing you can do is vote for senators and representatives who will work with your president on his Jobs plan. It is designed to create jobs while upgrading our crumbling infrastructure. You can read about it on the whitehouse(dot)gov website. Encourage you friends and family to do the same. The current Congress is useless to the detriment of our country. Let's vote in new. Regards.

I agree. The billions we send to places like Iraq and Pakistan that ends up in the bank of dictators that hate us could be better spent on our own. Look at Haiti, after that disaster billions were donated to the people who still live in squalor with no services. If the money had been divided equally among the people than all would have had enough money to live a good life for the rest of their lives. The money went to corrupt politicians and leaders and never made to help the people.
