I wish that the idiots that think raising min wage is a good idea would be forced to live in the real world, and not in a college dorm or in mommy's basement.

The future of fast food. It won't ask for a raise in min. wage, won't need obamacare, unemployment insurance, employer wont have to kick in half of SS. and it wont lip off.

I lost a very good job because the minimum wage was raised. The greedy libtards are asking to almost double the minimum wage. They are nuts. This will not be good and they will only have the extra money for a short period until prices catch up.

Mr. Hord; Many of those unemployed will not be able to return to their jobs because they no longer exist. I would be in favor of extending benefits if they are part of a retraining program. I know for those in their late 40s and 50s this may be difficult. In life, we all must do things we do not want to do but must. As harsh as it sounds, sometimes we must play the cards we are dealt

Both Hagrid and RPG have valid points. I don't believe conseervitives are totaslly against extended unemployment, but pay for it by cutting something. Then put unemployment back like it was years ago. A trip to the office every week or two to show them you were looking for a replacement job. If you couldn't prove you were looking for work your benefits were cut.

Why should those with jobs pay for people to not find jobs for nearly 2 years? I see these guys all the time at the golf course. They boo hoo hoo that they are unemployed yet they are smacking around balls on a golf course with a beer in their hand from 9-5 7 days a week. I don't feel bad for people that put no effort into finding a job and find themselves homeless and broke.

Richard, not one word about how the $19 billion would be paid for.

Is that how we should run our households, also? Close our eyes, and spend, spend, spend?

(Remember the $1 TRILLION dollar Stimulus, some of you paid those tax dollars, that Obama and the Democrats in congress assured us would create jobs, and put more Americans to work?)

How about this. Call me crazy, but if you need money to pay your phone bill, maybe you need to think about eating out a little less, or perhaps you don't need all those phone features, or those cable movie channels.

That is exactly what the Republicans want to do.

Please tell me why that logic is bad for our nation as well as our household income.
