Politicians won’t do what’s best

December 1, 2013

To the editor: Recently, I heard Gov. John Kasich say on a morning TV talk show that his primary concern for Ohio is jobs, jobs, jobs....

What was Kasich to do? Absolve Ormet of their obligation to pay their bills. Was AEP supposed to "eat" the cost of Ormet's bill? It is disturbing that there are so many people that don't understand economics, where money comes from, and government's role in our country. Most Democrats and RINO Republicans work together because they want to stay in power, they care nothing for you, or business, they get a secure retirement for life and pay raises as long as they can stay in office. So, they make policies so that "they" stay in. True representatives like Rand Paul, Ron Paul, and the TEA party conservatives actually follow the will of the people. They follow the Constitution.

Ormet's power mostly comes from WV. so Ohio's Public Utilities Commission has little say. They did say that they could help if Ormet management cleaned up it act. ( what ever that means) Then you have Obunglers war on coal. Yes it is real. Obungler's EPA could lighten regulations on the production of electricity by coal fired plants to reduce the cost. Where are your liberals? I am sure you see the rising costs in your home's electric bills. Go. Kasaich can do very little about the EPA. I am betting that many of the union workers at Ormet, their families, and the surrounding area residents voted for Obungler just to get kicked in the teeth. Instead of blaming Kasich put the blame where it belongs, the liberals in power, hopefully not for long.

Somebody's lying. We can't be sure who, but we do know one has a habit of doing so.

Obama’s uncle contradicts White House, says Obama stayed with him in 1980s 9dot)washingtonpost****/blogs/post-politics/wp/2013/12/03/obamas-uncle-contradicts-white-house-says-obama-stayed-with-him-in-1980s/

President Obama's uncle said at a deportation hearing Tuesday that Obama stayed with him while he was a student at Harvard Law School in the 1980s -- despite the White House having said that Obama never met the man.

Onyango “Omar” Obama, 69, was arrested for drunk driving in 2011 and faced deportation after living in the United States for five decades. The judge decided to let the Kenyan national remain in the United States.

What does Obama's uncle have to do with this conversation. I guess it does not matter the topic, you all will include Obama on something. Since you want to bring up deportation and the likes, DIDN'T THE ROMNEY'S HAVE "ILLEGALS" WORKING IN THEIR HOME until it was reported? Quit the double standard BS. Its simple on this issue, the Ohio governor has no jurisdiction over West Virginia affairs.

"What does Obama's uncle have to do with this conversation."

The title of this topic is:

Politicians won’t do what’s best

My post is a good example of what not to do, and the lies that make it happen.

"you all will include Obama on something"

When he is involved in what is not BEST, yes.

EB: "DIDN'T THE ROMNEY'S HAVE "ILLEGALS" WORKING IN THEIR HOME until it was reported?"

Nope. That's incorrect.

The Romney's hired a lawn service (FYI, lawns are OUTSIDE of houses) and the contractor had illegals working for THEM. The Romneys investigated and found the lawn service had hired someone who had falsified their documents. The Romneys were unaware that the documents were fake.

Glad to help you with the TRUTH. Now, please stop repeating lies, OK?

Actually, you owe them an apology.

"Its simple on this issue, the Ohio governor has no jurisdiction over West Virginia affairs."

Congrats. You got that right.

We bowed to the Iranians, allowing them to continue their nuclear ambitions, gave them BILLIONS of dollars, released one of their terrorists (with NO release of Americans they are holding!).

Now we cave to the Chinese, betraying our allies in Japan.

Shameful. I don't care what your political affiliation.

You left out that a year after the story broke they still had illegals working for them, but again the lawn is part of the home. Another defense of a double standard. Glad we agree on jurisdiction.

Shame, SHAME on you, EB. Don't you know that they are NOT "illegals", they are "UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS"?

Besides your racist remark, you are spreading more lies.

Who are you refering to as "they"?

EB "Its simple on this issue, the Ohio governor has no jurisdiction over West Virginia affairs." I agree with Hagrid you got that part right, but EB tell us about obungler's part and his war on coal. Making the power Ormet needs so expensive.

President Obama acknowledged on Thursday that he lived with his Kenyan uncle for a brief period in the 1980s while preparing to attend Harvard Law School, contradicting a statement more than a year ago that the White House had no record of the two ever meeting.

Don't get it twisted. Now all of a sudden you want to PC. The whole repub platform called them exactly what I wrote. They were classified "illegal" period. Call it a war on coal and anything else, but the bottom line is that the company needed to evolve like others. Its that simple and the continued rhetoric of war on coal no longer is an EXCUSE.

I see. Conservatives MUST be PC, but you are not bound by the same rule. Shame.

The war on coal and the loss of jobs in the mining and power industries are far from rheteric. We have it in Obama's own words.

Face reality, EB.

Is this what's best? Obama has spent a lot of our money, done a lot of bad things to promote green energy. Now he's allowing the killing of an endangered species, and the symbol of our nation, for 30 MORE YEARS! By the way, to the best of my knowledge, not a single bald eagle has been killed by a coal power plant.

Obviously EB can't find ANY proof for his false claims and is not man enough to apologize for his mistake.

I really thought he was a bigger man than that.
