I am in agreement with both posts. I am tired of reading how these people are getting these light sentences. If they have no regard for life, they should not be afforded the privilege to live amongst the living and good people.

1. HOLD PARENTS ACCOUNTABLE EARLY - No excuses. Raise your kids EARLY in life with RULES ENFORCED BY LAW. Thus effective TEEN CURFEW. 2. ENFORCE OCCUPANCY RULES. If a person is living in a home not on a lease, EVERYBODY GOES. Perhaps that's an eye opener. Rsimpson, nailed it by saying this person was not charge enough with all that happened in that one day. 30-50 seems about right.

I agree with you Rsimpson43952 too light a sentence for one. These thug’s think nothing about killing people – nothing! That mind-set, that mentally does not deserve to be walking among civil society.

Build more prisons; they hold a good purpose and put the dangerous animals that belong in cages right where they belong. Build the prisons and get dangerous people off our streets.

And a TEEN CURFEW suggested by Mr. Johnson has been suggested many times before. It’s a solution to the ongoing juvenile issues we are experiencing. So who’s not doing their job?

The incident was described as basically a shootout between two felons so why only charge him with having a weapon under disability? If he was involved in a shootout then he obviously shot a gun which is felonious assault with a deadly weapon. Isn't there a law prohibiting discharging a firearm in city limits? What about a law dealing with criminally negligent child endangerment? The article says the witness was in her front yard with her grandson. this thug obviously didn't care there were children out and it was just afternoon. Hopefully Judge Henderson sets an example with this idiot for the other thugs to try an deter anyone else from committing a similar crime. 30 months is just a few years. These thugs are a danger to our community. He should be locked up for at the very least 30-50 years for everything he has done.
