Taxpayers Lose $139 Million on FISKER Loan...

dailycaller(dot)com/2013/11/22/taxpayers-lose-139-million-on-fisker-automotive-loan/#ixzz2lPXP2JvD

Happy Thanksgiving from the Obama administration. The Energy Department has sold off its $192 million loan guarantee to Fisker Automotive to Chinese billionaire Richard Li for $25 million — the biggest taxpayer loss on a green loan since the failure of Solyndra.

The Energy Department will announce the “selling of the promissory note” to Hybrid Tech, which is owned by Chinese billionaire Richard Li, according to sources familiar with the sale. The DOE sold the loan to Li for $25 million after lending the financially troubled green automaker a total of $192 million since 2009.

“Once again, American taxpayers are losing out to foreign investors due to the Obama administration’s failed green energy policies.

Apparently the NYT does not understand that we have never been a democracy. America is a representative REPUBLIC. Always has been.

Shame on the Dems in the Senate for changing a rule that has been in existance since our nation was founded. That rule was put there for just this reason.

NYTIMES hails return of 'Democracy' to Senate...

EB, as for not all poor people lack integrity, I'd agree. However, welfare slobs (the people that have an I-phone, Cadillac with chrome rims, subsist off of the taxpayer, have multiple children and no intention of getting a job to feed them) have no sense of integrity, honor, pride, or work ethic. They only know entitlement. They are lazy, so much so that they don't deserve to breathe the same air as those that work to support them. They are the valueless diseased vermin of society.

"The "employee" who allegedly "did it" is one guy who allegedly made up numbers in 2010, which careful readers will note was two years before the election."

Careful readers will see that the article was talking about fraud in the August - September 2012 census. They also mentioned the 2010 fraud, and stated more than one worker was involved.

Seems like Obama had folks lying for him for quite a while.

Guess you were not so careful, right eb?

"Still, it's not possible for one employee alone, or even a few, to have altered the unemployment rate by submitting false data"

Wrong again. But, let's check. from the article:

"Buckmon, it turns out, was a very ambitious employee. He conducted three times as many household interviews as his peers, my source said."

Quite a significant number, three TIMES

"Census surveys 60,000 households in one week, a massive task involving about 2,200 workers."

That means each worker only had to conduct 27 interviews. Quite a low number, wouldn't you say?

Please show us where there are 2,200 workers who did the census in August-September 2012, right before the election. If you can't, we'll just chalk it up to another of your hallucinations.

"You all should learn the difference and quit painting morality with a broad brush."

Let's see:

You claim all 1%ers are greedy.

You claim all conservatives are anti-Christian.

You claim Fox News, THE most successful cable news agency, doesn't get athings right.

But I am not allowed to say that, those who pay NO income tax (and possibly get a tax "rebate") are getting richer off of greed? that those who take the hard earned money from others to pay their bills are not greedy?

eb, do you see your hypocricy?

Hagrid - eb, you never talk about the poor getting richer off of greed.

Why is that?

THAT IS ANOTHER MORAL ISSUE FOR THOSE TYPE OF GREEDY PEOPLE. I DON'T CONDONE OR DEFEND THEIR ACTIONS. Not all poor people lack pride and integrity. You all should learn the difference and quit painting morality with a broad brush.

Still, it's not possible for one employee alone, or even a few, to have altered the unemployment rate by submitting false data -- Census surveys 60,000 households in one week, a massive task involving about 2,200 workers. That makes a rate-moving conspiracy highly unlikely.

Anyone can find a story to post....

Obamacare ‘success story’ says she can’t afford new health plan

news(dot)yahoo(dot)com/obamacare-%e2%80%98success-story--says-she-can-t-afford-new-health-plan-225839697(dot)html

A single mom from Washington State who was cited by President Obama as an Affordable Care Act success story now says she’ll go uninsured and calls the program a “treadmill of bureaucracy.”

Washington State Wire reports that Jessica Sanford, 48, discovered that she is no longer eligible for a large subsidy that would have lowered her monthly premium to $169 per month. Instead, Sanford would now be forced to pay nearly four times as much, $621, for coverage.

REPORT: Census 'faked' unemployment data ahead of '12 election...

nypost(dot)com/2013/11/18/census-faked-2012-election-jobs-report/

In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington.

The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated.

And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it....

... Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, I’m told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent.

Philadelphia filled the gap with fake interviews.

eb, why don't you cut out the middle man? Eliminate the government, and give your money directly to the poor. With all the government beurocracy, only a small percentage of your dollar makes it to the poor. There are numerous charities that get almost 100% of your dollar to the poor.

"All stats are screwed, but not the rich getting richer off of greed.

Let's be clear here Hagrid. I don't mind paying extra taxes for the people who are without through no wrong doing of their own. I agree that we should not be supporting individuals who refuse to work for what they want to attain, but all are not that way.

Give unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's. Give unto God, what is God's. Trying to help those who help themselves is doing so.

Vman-The stock market is proof that the economy has come back, but not for the middle and lower class. I guess you fall into one of those categories. All stats are screwed, but not the rich getting richer off of greed.

Great. Then pay for a few. No one is stopping you.

"If you claim to be Christian, look up greed in your bible if you own one."

I've asked you several times, is it greed to want to take what others have earned to pay your bills?

"ACA is here to stay. Get over it."

Don't count on it. Even your Dems are running away from it. You may not know that, since you were told not to watch Fox News.

"Get over it. America has changed, get over that too. You will never see America in the years you want it to be."

Yep. We are all helpless victims. Good Liberal. GOOD Liberal.

I feel differently. I am not a victim. I am in charge of my destiny. I do not need to rely on politicians, as you do.

Vman - Our government includes you representatives as well. Maybe if all had to serve their country, they would not play games with our military. You also list stats of minority votes. Post his opponents stats. As low as his approval rating is now, its even sadder that they are higher than the congress you approve of.

On a personal note, I wished the personal attacks between some of you (general) would stop. At least communicate like grown men. It does not prove a thing.

I still want people covered unlike others. RPG- If you claim to be Christian, look up greed in your bible if you own one. You all let fox convince you that raising minimum wage will hurt the economy. OTHER THAN FOX what verified source (besides rush/beck) that states the facts. ACA is here to stay. Get over it. America has changed, get over that too. Chester: "Any idiot should be able to figure this out."

One would thinks so, but you haven't.

The accountant's customers determine the accountan't wage. If his services are worth $12/hr, that's what he is worth. If he charges $30/hr, and folks are willing to pay that, that is what he is worth. No outside folks determine his worth. It is between the service provider and the customer.

"Meanwhile, you ignored the part of the argument where I noted that by raising the minimum wage, people have more money to spend, which means that other causes of inflation are negated."

Only about 2-3% of workers are minimum wage, and a lot of them are not the primary breadwinner. So little effect on their spending.

"Heck what's keeping him from firing his long term employees and hiring all new?"

Only loss of business while he rehires and retrains. If the workers have not proven their value at the going pay rate, he can and should replace them.

But you know all

I assume you are talking to me, so, please explain what I got wrong.

"My argument is based on history, so if you think history lacks credibility, that just goes to your own credibility, Walmart flunky."

YOUR history certainly lacks credibility. We are talking about REAL history.

We didn't see a bump in the economy after the last minimum wage hike, did we? Just the opposite, in fact.

Let's do a little math, shall we?

Let's take a typical McDonald's restaurant. Employment of about 30 people. We will be conservative and say that these workers work 32 hours per week. They make $7.50 per hour, and we'll again be conservative and say the minimum wage is raised to $10 per hour, not $15 per hour.

That's 30X32X$2.50X52 weeks= $124,000 cost increase, per year for this little restaurant.

Chester is telling us that it has no effect. I suppose he believes this franchiser can simply absorb that $124,000 each and every year.

Do I have that right?

Chester: "Hagrid is right. I was mistaken about Biden's quote. That's the only thing he was right about, though."

You have yet to admit your error of overstating the number of workers at non-coal power plants by 300%.

You have not admitted your error in stating that increasing the minimum wage has no effect on the ecomnomy, when it costs jobs, increases inflation, closes businesses, drives up prices, etc.

EB, what is greed? Is greed a person wanting to keep more of what he EARNED, no! Is greed a person thinking they are entitled to that which someone else has earned, yes! It is theft as well.
