Why should that levy be passed? Classes have declined in number since I graduated. Now, many of the taxpayers that got ramrodded and had to buy cars for their children to drive to school have no reason to vote for it.

Valleyman, I'm not one of the stupid taxpayers. I've spoken out time and time again against the levies. Down here in town all it takes to get levies passed is free kool aid, hot dogs, and more renters that have children than property owners.

If anything, people need to pull together and stop this levy once more.

Didn't I hear they hired back the retired Teachers, that are now double dipping while younger Teachers are left without a job?

Edison enrollment is under 1700 students..... Congratulations Toronto on your enrollment increase and Edison's tax dollars... Spend it wisely...

The stimulus money was a one time gift, given over 2 years ($450,000 per year in 2010/2011). It was used to hire retired Edison staff for 2 years.... This should not be included in districts request for new funding.....

Lets see .... The district is under the state guarantee for funding for Fy2014 and 2015, so the loss in students will not be felt fully until FY2016... I wonder if this played a part in the boards decision to not bus the high school students?
