My guess would be he needs a public defender because defending this type of case is going to take money and lots of it, probably more than he makes in a year. Computer experts cost money and aren't cheap. He does deserve to defend himself although I'm still sticking with the thought that a Grand Jury isn't going to indict someone without substantial evidence. If this man did try to cover-up evidence of a crime whether it pertains to the rape case or not then he should be held accountable. The thing that is troubling me is if he did lie and/or delete incriminating evidence that the evidence probably wasn't incriminating just to himself. Who all is involved, what was he trying to hide, and why?

"The director of technology for the city school district said he has an annual income of $67,000 a year, "but I don't know if I will be paid while I am on leave. I have not talked to my supervisors since I was arrested Monday." --------- I'd like to see how many people get paid while on 'leave' !!! This crook deserves no better than what someone working in a mill does !

He looks good in that orange jumpsuit. This rapist coverup scumbag deserves all he is getting from the justice system. He has only $1500 in savings and they let this scumbag out on a $25000 signature bond? How is that possible? Let him pay for his own defense, and I hope the school system suspends his pay until he is found GUILTY at his trial. I'll bet he's ready to sing like a bird on the other coverups for a reduced sentence once his lawyer explains what's going to happen to him if found guilty in prison. Coach Sac in handcuffs coming off the Big Red Football Field - justice for Jane Doe can not come too soon.

Why in the h3ll would a public defender be appointed for someone making $67,000.

That's not close to poverty levels.

H3lls b3lls.

I suppose the rest of the crew will ask for public defense also.

Funny how the boys had paid attorneys and an employed man asks for assistance.

I just don't understand.
