September 8, 2013

To the editor: Skeptics? Do they believe in any solution that deals with honesty or the rights of all Americans? Do they truly believe that unborn children don’t deserve to be a part of our nation?......

Wow, what a nonsensical mess that was. I've got to give credit where credit is due though, this LTE will stay with me for a while. I'm afraid I'll still be wondering tomorrow just what that was. Personally, I put my faith in Jesus however not everyone has seen the light. Now that doesn't mean they're bad people or that they're evil, it just means they've yet to see God's miraculous miracles performed in their lives. They'll see the light sooner or later, it is our job as Christians to spread the word and let people know the joy of living for Christ not to condemn others because of their lack of faith. The entire Christian religion is based on faith, love, forgiveness, and understanding so I never did quite understand the Catholicism type "you're not Christian enough" attitude. That's not what Jesus preached and that's not how God wants us to treat one another.

Interesting letter and the two responses that I see so far are surely a prelude of what ever else may come.

Personally, I am not feeling what's all written, but I respect it.

Rsimpson this is NOT an attack on you, but if Americans AND PEOPLE of the world lived like you described, America would be a better place. Your last statement is totally contrary to the issues of what's happening in politics, healthcare, etc. Our mind sets have to change to get back to the basics of Christianity.

I respectfully disagree with you EB although I do respect your opinion. Society's lack of faith, love, forgiveness, and understanding is an undeniable cause of our problems in general. Greed is a major competent which wouldn't be such a big factor if faith was as important as it should be. I'm not saying I'm perfect because I'm not, I'm from from it. I sin just as everyone else does but I do try to always treat others as I would like to be treated. The bible gives us an excellent model to follow so the earth can be shared, enjoyed, and cherished by all.

Rsimpson - Now I am in agreement with you last comment. If more people had the thoughts of what you said, we would be a better nation and world. It would not be a perfect world, but better. Kudos my friend.
