@PimpDaddyBoss Firstly, "there" means a place whereas "their" denotes ownership. Secondly, if you're insistent upon being disrespectful to not only the industry that made this area but also the workers who broke their back's daily trying to support their families please learn to use proper grammar. Your crack about Wal-Mart jobs towards the area steelworkers demonstrates the manner in which you were raised. I'm sure your parents would be so proud. I thank each and every steelworker for their dedication to their jobs, for all the missed birthdays, holidays, family functions, athletic games etc.

JetRink, sounds like you are talking about most of the Steel Workers I know. You hit the nail right on the head with the word slackjaw. That's ok there Union will take care of them.

PimpDaddyBoss: Another envious lazy slackjaw who wouldn't have had the intestinal fortitude to survive in one of those plants.

Hey Chester, you got the Unions to thank for this. Oh my heart bleeds for those over worked and underpaid steel workers. Welcome to the Real World now!!!

First, to the Herald Star, buy a tripod or something The video could have been a lot better.

Second, to the other commenters, the plant is closed, the jobs are gone, the story has run its course. No sense in telling people that have already lost their jobs and possibly pensions how much you don't care about them because of what you think you know. Just let it go. Leave the comments about unions or WalMart jobs for another time. Show some class. It's the end of an era that defined the last century of Steubenville. Just respect the history and shut up about the rest.

The deal with Ira Rennart and Goodwin had to stink from the beginning but the union brass went with them anyhow. I think they took a dive.

Pimpdaddyboss....the union took care of who in this valley? They took care of themselves (officers) and the international. You know the union confiscated the locals money here in the valley and at sparrows point. You gotta get it right there PDB.
