To the editor: Police agencies and judges solemnly declare that ignorance of the law is no excuse. This is almost laughably wrong and untrue....

Since this writer gave no details, one can only assume he was arrested or cited for something which common sense would have said was wrong or stupid but he did it anyway.

I would love to vote for somebody who promised (and followed through with) not to create any more laws and repeal some of the stupid ones. The texting and driving law is a prime example f this. It's unenforceable, but hey it makes people feel good! How about Caley's Law in Florida. It's illegal to not report your child missing. Yeah, that's going to stop a monster parent from killing thier kid. But yet again, it makes people feel good.

We do have too many laws, regulations, and burdensome taxes in this country. Why do you think so many American companies are moving overseas? Because they are being over-taxed, over-regulated, and over-unioned!
