This is why we should have mandatory random regular drug screening for welfare recipients. With the financial crisis this country is in coupled with the extremely large amount of people now getting food assistance why are we footing the bill for drug addicts? This man may have been stealing to pay off one drug dealer but I'd bet my entire paycheck that he bought drugs off of a different dealer. I can't stand that those of us who work hard to earn a living struggle to stay afloat while these drug addicts are out buying drugs and don't have to worry about providing for their children. The children can't be punished because their parents are idiots but something has to give somewhere.
