So trooftella, now the Bible is historical fact according to you?

So you agree with Leviticus 18:22

"Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

Trooftella, these are your exact words.

"Quoting the bible is hate speech? Historical facts are hate speech? Weird."

So you are saying the Bible is historical fact, then you are denying that you said it is historically factual.

There is only one fact that is evident and that is that there are no facts to substatiate the validity of the bible being the word of God.. I will accept that it is the word of man. Not being one to give credibioiy to any religion I too oppose this appeasement of Islam by our government. I think that Islam should be exposed to the same criticisms as all other religions. Our government does not exist toset a standard about accepting the concept of any religion that contradicts what flies in the face of our Constitution.

Maverick, if you believe what you posted about government respecting religion, what is your thought on Obamacare? Government is forcing a people to break from their religion for the sake of government compliance.

rpg, try reading my post again. Where did I say that the government should respect any breligious rules. What I was saying that I am against the government protecting any religion that flies in the face of the Constitution. The government is not forcing anyone to take birth control. If hospitals don't want to meet the needs of all patients they should get out of the business of serving anyone other than their flock. You know you always twist what people say to attempt to make a lame point. It won't work here.

Franciscan University of Steubenville is a Catholic university that under obamacare will be forced to provide health coverage that includes birth control even though their religious beliefs forbid the use of birth control.

If you can't show me where I said the gov't should respect religion then you are indeed not capable of honest debate. I don't respect religion or feel that they should carry anymore political weight than the average citizen. So, why would I expect the goverment to respect one religion over another.

rpg, your silence speaks volumes. You face an impossible task of backing up your words and that it what happens when you twist the words of others. This is where Sean Hannity hangs up on people.

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Mohammedan] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." -Treaty of tripoli, signed by John Adams(one of our forefathers) in 1797

"Lighthouses are more helpful than churches" -Benjamin Franklin, 1758

"Question with boldness even the existence of a god." -Thomas Jefferson, 1787

Quit revising history. Maybe some of our founding fathers believed in Christianity, but not all of them. Most were vehemently against the idea of religion or god being anywhere near out schools and/or government. Quit letting your faith convolut

Core in calling the bible historical fact, you are saying that it is valid, true, a credible source, something to be trusted for information, correct, etc...

rpg. did you understand this part...If you can't show me where I said the gov't should respect religion then you are indeed not capable of honest debate. Now show me and I will take back all that I said. You have posted three times since and have not demonstrated that yuor previous post is not twisted. I aam asuming that cannot untwist your words without looking even more manipulative than you have been throughout when you twist someones words and then declare yourself the winner. That is what I meant by Hannity verbal slight of hand. Sorry for hitting the wrong keys in my original reference to you using Hannity tactics when you don't have a legitmate argument.

Rpg your credibility is shot. You cannot support your statements. You cannot answer to truth so you fabricate your own flawed comprehension into your own twisted words and then accuse others of phony sttements. You still haven't supported your statemnt. AGAIN,If you can't show me where I said the gov't should respect religion then you are indeed not capable of honest debate.

Can a nation who has turned its back on God expect His blessings? We have systematically removed God from everything and now when tragedy strikes wonder where God has gone or why He does not intervene. Is all lost? No! But we as a nation need to return the principles upon which we were founded and repent of our sins.

Review history...it appears God was never here. Evil wins out hands down at every turn. And then when there are shootings of young children it is because God is not allowed in schools. I guess he showed us by allowing 2 dozen innocent children to be slaughtered. I always heard God is everywhere. So how was He evicted from schools. You are all bound up in fairytales and ignore the reality that if there is a God he don't care about you. All he cares about is a bunch of people who might make it over all his hurdles so they can spend eternity worshipping Him. Seems quite egotistical on his part and not much fun on our part. Oh I forgot you bible thumpers don't believe in fun.

Rpg has been owned lock, stock and barrel. His silence and inability to explain how he makes stuff up as he goes has diminished his credibility and has rendered him neutered for future debates. He is so Sean Hannity which speaks volumes of his methodology of posting on ant thread. I gave you several chances to defend the stuff that you made up and you failed. What more can be said about your lack of defense.

Maverick, Trooftella posted that the bible was historical fact. I asked him to defend Leviticus 18:22 since he believed that the bible was so factual. You can go back and read the post if you'd like.

Maverick, as far as government and healthcare go. The government is forcing a religious organization to fund, provide, etc. a service which they are fundamentally opposed to.

Trooftella, we should return to those principles. People that consume taxes rather than pay them should not be allowed to vote.
