Seeing as how the county drug task force was involved, my bet is on it being drug related. I don't think this was a random robbery. They either know the victims, or have an acquaintance that knows them. They knew enough about them to know that there was a safe in the house.

You act like the why behind their actions matter, it doesn't. Nothing would make beating a 2 year old baby in the head with a gun excusable or even forgivable. I pray they catch the other two sooner than later and bring down the full weight of the criminal justice system on all four of them. Its a shame we had to sit our kids down to explain why they can't answer the door anymore.

This makes absolutely no sense. Something fishy about this time line, why they picked this home to rob, etc. Of course, this is usually the case in Jefferson County. Like the Franciscan students who were kidnapped and murdered, but no motive was ever given. How stupid do the powers that be think we are? Well, not ALL of us are!
