More of the same from a long line of honored right wing, homophobe tea part nuts that the Franciscans adore. Nicholson is a right wing fanatic as are Alan Keyes, Newt Gingrich, Rich Santorum......this school was formed by the original Bishop of Steubenville for its millworkers and their children. It was never intended to be a right wing mouthpiece for the Republican party and its extremists.....St Francis would roll over in his grave if he heard of the nuts this college honors and gives speaking platforms.

Keyes, Gingrich and Santorum ALL received major awards and kudos from the college despite their hateful attitudes of intolerance.....Oh yeah...ole Newt got his award while cheating on his wife who was dying of cancer....didn't stop the college from kissing the teaparty arses.

I agree with the comments and ask for help protecting life and health from the gas drilling exploitation. The water and air contamination are deadly and growing children and the unborn are most vulnerable.A carcinogen such as acrylonitrile is deadly and is furnished by Chinese companies to the frac industry. When confronted these companies deny and lie...the crime wave that hit WV counties continues along with the contamination.Mother Teresa taught us about prayer in action and we need to act to stop the greed and corruption.

I can't say I'm pleased with these comments, but not for the reasons many would assume. First of all, the comment on oil and gas has nothing to do with the article and doesn't belong here. Secondly, the comments by "beagle", while definitely his opinion, don't belong here either, in my opinion. This is about prayer and perseverance and the message sent to the graduates about where to place their trust when times get rough. You take away from their achievements when you blather on about politicians you don't agree with. Take it to the op-ed page.
