Why dont you ask for donations? Unemployment in Jefferson county is still very high. Now is a bad time to want to raise taxes.

Maybe people don't approve levies because they see things like I witnessed a few days ago. A bus from this particular school district. Bus number 9 to be exact was in the parking lot of the JC Penny store at the Highlands at 1130 am. Did my tax dollars pay for someone to go shopping? WHy would this bus be so far out of the district? Was there a special function for the children somewhere up there? No other buses in the area. So how can I be expected to believe that the money they are begging for would actually go to what they claim? I DO NOT believe them. Exactly how much money will this levy bring in? Will the property owners have any input into WHO will get the contracts for the security equipment, the installation contractors and who the resource officers will be? Will they be off duty deputies or will they people hired EXCLUSIVELY to protect the children?
