Portman has done a great job. Thumbs up. Brown on the other hand has not voted with Ohioans. Thumbs down. We need him to be voted out.

BTW Core, Portman was in Steubenville yesterday. Did you go express your opinion to him?

Core, how can you say that I am a hypocrite? Why do you resort to saying that during every argument that you are losing. You asked a question as to why something went this way or that and want a explination as to why it was so. Portman voted with the views of the people that sent him there. That is how a representative republic is supposed to function. My thought of what "majority" who voted with is irrelevant. MT failed, for that I am glad, the nation dodged a major bullet, Thanks Sen. Portman.

Core, it would also go a long way if you and the other liberals actually took the time to learn about firearms, their classifications, and laws pertaining to. That way when you speak about firearms you will be educated enough to know fact from fiction.

Core, please call Bob Mayne at the handgun world podcast and get on his show so that you can speak for the anti-gunners across the country. He isn't a jerk, he isn't going to embarrass you, or poke fun at your beliefs.

Toomey says he will not back or vote for another gun control bill. He actually believed that 90% lie. He now knows the truth.

MT failed get over and deal with it. I am the hypocrite that went to a gun show and bought mags for my AR15. Thank you Senator Portman.

Even if the 90% statistic were true, we are not a nation that makes laws based on poll numbers. We are a republic which is not governed by mob rule. All Senators and Congressmen take an oath to uphold the Constitution and the Senators that voted against Obama's attempted start of a gun grab did just that. It does not matter if 60% of the people in the United States wanted to ban all guns, the Constitution is the supreme law of the and and it says we have the right to bear arms. Period.

Core, you are asking me to speak for Valleyman saying that he is wrong or not wrong about how someone voted. I'm not going to do that. If you want valleyman to answer something, ask him. You and I were not discussing the 60 vote threshold, we were discussing gun laws, mental health and your boiling hatred for guns and gun owners.

Valleyman misspoke Portman voted "NO" witch was the minority of votes, but enough votes to sustain a filibusterer and M-T failed. M-T failed and I don't care how. core seems to think it can some how grow legs and pass since it had more yes votes than no votes but it can not. The far left commies don't like the 60 vote threshold and whined about it,but had high praise for it when it was in their favor. M-T failed get over it Oh I wanted so much to get a double barrel shotgun this weekend and fire it into the air like Joe told us to do , but it didn't happen. I did get several more 30 rd mags.

Core, there is a podcast that I listen to that is looking for someone like you to call in and explain your reasoning for gun control. The name of the podcast is "Handgun World." The host is Bob Mayne. Look it up on ITunes or send him a message on facebook. This is no BS, the guy is not a jerk, he just want's someone like you to call in.

I say that it does not matter who voted with who or for what. MT failed! The people have spoken through their representatives. The voice was loud and clear, we the people don't want any more gun control laws. How come liberals, progressives, and democrats love democracy until the vote does not go their way.

Core, I won't surrender my firearms. The Constitution says I do not have to.

The immediate and prevailing reaction here has been to Core's general political philosophy and NOT to the points made in his letter.

Good job stirring the hive, Dave :)

Yet you still refuse to answer the question, mostly because you are afraid.

I did ask you another question by the way. Still waiting on that answer.

Core, since you seem to be an expert, how does a law abiding citizen purchase a gun illegally?

Core, you did not respond to my question, you just keep reporting it as offensive to have it removed so that you do not have to answer it.

Core, would you punch a member of law enforcement that just saved you or a family member with a firearm?

Pilk00, I really do not understand your comments. Law enforcement firing a volley of rounds at a target that they obviously could not identify, or see to place a round on reinforces what I've been telling Core for years. That snippet of information being that armed citizens are often better trained than members of law enforcement.

pilk what has this discussion have to do wih the events in Boston? Then nowhere was it said everyone wanted a gun only 69% Then getting facts from core is always a gamble. M-T failed get over it answer RPGs question core.

Somewhere in the 70+ comments I read everyone wished they had a gun when Watertown went down. Not really. A mosquito drone with a tranquilizer stinger would have been sufficient. The police wanted Johar "alive", yet the volley of rounds fired sounded like a 4th of July fireworks finale. Happy ending. Kudos to the police state, but also to the guy who got loose from his kidnappers to notify authorities, and the guy who went out for a smoke & discovered dumb ass in his boat.

Great letter as usual, Mr. Core :)

Core the only way a law abiding citizen could buy a gun illegally is if they knew it was stolen and bought it anyway. A law abiding citizen would not do such a thing so your question is pointless. Criminals do not care for such laws. Want proof? A close friend of mine had a firearm stolen from him in Wintersville. The police recovered it months later, in the hands of a 15 year old, 50 miles away in Pittsburgh. Now, can you name all the chargable offenses committed there? Do you know the penalties involved? Enforcing the gun laws on the books would have that kid, and the guy that stole the gun, the guy that transported it, sold, it, resold, etc... In the bootyhouse for 10 years min.

No, you did not answer my question. It is a one word answer. The options are: Yes or No. Like I said, choosing not to answer makes you, well, we discussed that one. If you want a question answered ask it. I'd have answered if I knew I was being asked.
