Wonder if she consulted with Pokey and the Teramannas before she gave her interview. She has fell into the controlled by money factor that all city managers that come here do. It is shame because when she came here I think she had good intention. How quickly big fish in small ponds got to her surprised me

NEWSFLASH; this has been happening since Ka$ick took office, and if you are just hearing about it now, you are not an informed voter.

Ask a trustee. Ask a councilman, ask a commissioner.

The newspaper ought to be doing a better job of informing us.

This bill is junk....wake up.

Remember the last HB 5. Funny that bills to screw the people are all HB 5's.

If you just don't believe what I am saying, call Gentile; he'll tell you.

You people cannot see the forst for the trees.

Woorying about the city manager is the least of your problems.

The Governor Ka$ick plan to screw the local governments only pads his coffers and the townships, villages, and cities, will not be able to afford to maintain what they have.

I am not talking about doing something new, just maintenance alone.

You people want to be interested in your bang for your buck, look how much your local trustees do with what little they have,=. Then look at the State.

ODOT wastes more black top in a day than most townships can afford to buy for a year. At roughly $93,000 a mile to blacktop an 18 foot wide road with about 1 and a 1/2 inch BT; and the budgets they have is plain sick.

Wanna complain call your rep, and the darn governor and stop this crap, NOW!!!!!

News flash Mrs. Davison- The state by the constitution controls municipalities, they exist at the pleasure of the Ohio State legislature. Now, quit taxing people who work for a living. lower the rate to a quarter of a percent (an 87% rate reduction) and tax everyone's Ohio adjusted gross income (which excludes Social Security). And allow cities to assess impact fees on Section 8 housing.Like $1,000 per unit per year. Budget problem solved.

"This is another way for the state to take control of municipal governments." If our local goverment wasn't doing such a "bang up" job, we might care. I recently read an article that only 32% of the community actually pays local taxes. I happen to be one of the people paying local taxes and I'm not seeing much bang for my buck. So if it's handled locally or on the state level we'll still be in the same boat. If you are afraid we will have to eliminate more jobs oh well, do what the rest of us do, drive back and forth to PA or Wheeling to get a job. Get rid of the City Manager and let a local with a vested interest in the community apply for the job at a lesser salary.
