But when they make a mistake; assuming they knew right from wrong"; consequences must be given and the individual needs to be held responsible or their parents.

Isn't that it is supposed to work. I have a child; child breaks the law, I am responsible adult. If I own a dog, dog bites someone, I am responsible.

I believe in education. I believe that Moms and Dads teach their children to respect. I also believe some of those same Moms and Dads only want their children to learn respect while they do as they please NOT setting a very good example.

Road rage; texting or talking while driving; putting down teachers, the system; what have you.

Children learn in many ways, and by example is probably the best.

If parents, teachers, coaches all were on the same might stand a chance.
