Steuebnville & Jefferson County is one of the most corrupt political entities in Ohio. Books and many articles have been published about the culture and mentality of the area from its romance with organize crime and sleazy politics. Most places are NOT like the Upper Ohio Valley which is why the world's fixation has been on the area.

Hamlin was appointed by the Abdalla Machine and she is their protector as well as anything Big Red. Until the voters demonstrate common decency, ethics, & morality will we see the area proper once a new political system is in place.

Many news articles questioned the sloppy evidence mishandling from the cell phones to nearly two weeks until Hanlin recused herself when most prosecutors would have done so with a day and left it to the assistant prosecutor. And yes, she was Steubenville City Schools legal council. Remember when she traveled to Morgantown, WV to speak in favor of Branko Busic per multiple muggings?

GloriaM, are you serious? Or are just pulling our chains? Jane Hanlin is the Attorney for Steubenville City Schools.

I'm just curious...who is the Attorney for the Steubenville Board of Education? I haven't seen any comments from this person & what steps might have been taken by Admintration, etc.

The grand jury will bring our the facts and Hanlin will be shown the liar she is. She was too close with her son on the Big Red football team and should have recused herself early on to the Ohio AG.

Ms Hanlin does not speak to a remaining issue- did any adult know about the rape and not report it, a crime. Also, did any adult attempt to shield the perpetrators and intercede with the police on their behalf. These adults might include the coach , the principal and the superintendent and any other individual who placed a football team above the health, safety and protection of a minor victim.

Still wondering; were the boys evaluated yet? Are they serving in the same facility? Are the cell mates?

Just curious.

Just to make myself perfectly clear; I am not saying pressures influence Hanlin; I guess they could; but I am really talking about local pressures on ALL public/elected officials; witnesses; interested parties; potential jurors.

I think Anonymous made it SOOOO public, something HAD to be done.

I think she thinks it was investigated well.

And maybe they had all the facts early, but everyone that believes all of this would have made it to court without Anonymous; hold up your hand.......

I believe Ms. Hanlin is an honest person, but the pressures of the area seem to influence decisions and outcomes over the years.

If there are more delinquents; adults; administrators, coaches, Indian Chief's that need to be brought to justice; I am all for it.

My 8-Ball says: It is certain? It is decidedly so? Without a doubt? Yes – definitely? You may rely on it? As I see it, yes? Most likely? Outlook good? Yes? Signs point to yes.

If they are innocent; so be it.
