I agree except on one point; When the old elementary school was sold Mr. Huber was superintendent, not Mr. Watkins. Mr. Watkins kept a pretty tight fist on the system and ran it well.

Thank you for your comments - very true - just leave us alone - no new t.axes - how many times do we need to vote against the same issue?

I remember last time Mr.Rochi told the wayne elementary parents that he had no plans to close their school, so he needed them to rally behind him to get the levy passed. Mr. Rochi now claims that he would have closed the school even if the levy passed, he lied to the wayne parents and was going to close down their school no matter what the outcome, I hope every parent and resident in wayne township remembers the lies when they vote. You have to wonder what other lies and tricks the Indian Creek school board has planned for the taxpayers of the district. I think the state should pass a rule for schools when it comes to levy harrassment, if taxpayers vote down a levy, it can not be proposed again for 1 year and if it is voted down a second time they have to wait 2 years before they can try to pass it again, even if they change the amount of levy. "NO MEANS NO"

First off, this levy is for operational costs. We missed our chance on the extra state funding for a new school. Secondly, looking at the JCC on Fernword NOW would be completely inaccurate. The school board didn't say it should be condemned, it actually WAS CONDEMNED. Not a choice made by the district. The purchaser made millions of dollars of repairs to bring the building back up to code, something the district couldn't do because the voters wouldn't pass a levy. Secondly, Mr. Rochi made no promises. If you have children in the district and are properly informed, you would know that he has always tried to do everything in his power to save the closing of any buliding and saving of those jobs. It's terrible that tax payers cannot see what they are doing to the community. It's sad really.

Keepinginformed, what school district do you vote in? You are on here telling people to vote for levies in every school district in the county. State your school district then stay out of the other districts business.

Keepinginformed,. I think you may have misspoken. The levy is for a new school. Article written by Jess Looman January 30, 2013 in this paper titled Indian Creek levy for new school on ballot. WINTERSVILLE – “Voters in the Indian Creek Local School District will be asked to go to the polls in May and vote "yes" for a levy for a new high school. The school board approved a resolution at a special meeting on Tuesday to proceed with the issuance of bonds for the new high school.” If you wish to read the complete article, here is the link. ***********heraldstaronline****/page/content.detail/id/582668/Indian-Creek-levy-for-new-school-on-ballot.html

@richard67: my apologies, what i failed to include in my statement is that it's not ONLY for a high school. that it is ALSO for operational costs. the money is badly needed for operational costs and that we WOULD BE missing out on millions of state money to go toward the buidling of a new school. i did not proof read before i hit "post". @moteman: indian creek is my district, but the last time i checked this is a free country and this site is an opinion forum. you don't have to agree with me, but it is not your place to tell me where i am or am not allowed to have or speak my opinion.

I would like to know how much money the schools get from the lottery. I think the taxpayers are getting ripped off. Vote no on all levies.

@moteman: i feel sorry for you that you feel the need to belittle someone you do not know. my opinion matters the same as yours and lashing out at me in such a childish fashion is a waste of your engergy. you can ignore me, that's fine. i'm good with that.
