Bernardo: The coach needs to be isolated from the kids at full pay?? Because of the serious nature of the allegations, the coach should be isolated without pay and if he is found innocent, the school district can always give him his back pay. However, if he is found quilty and has already been paid, the district will never recoup the money that should never have been paid.

At rut gears the coach is fired and the athletic director will be next because the coach was verbally abusive and the ad gave him a slap on the wrist. In Steubenville, the coach is aware of a rape, shields the perpetrators, probably refuses to talk to investigators and he has the support of the principal and the superintendent, who hide behind the due course of grand jury. That "coach,"the person who runs that school and dictates to the superintendent, needs to be isolated from children, at full pay, until the grand jury decides whether or not to indict. The principal and superintendent should plan for early retirement

Heard on the State news today that two guys were arrested for rape and sexual stuff south of here.

She was 15. They were adults; she had one guy's DNA....a baby.

They supposedly gave her "moonshine". White lightning.

These two will not like it in the new juvenile detention facility away from the safety of Steubenville. They should be in adult prison for what they did to that Jane Doe rape victim. I await the grand jury for the rest of the rape party crew and those who tried to coverup the rape like Coach Sac. Go get 'em Mike DeWine - AG!

If liberty is correct, it only adds to the purported abuse of the system.

How could that possibly be?

I supposed they will get weekend furloughs to party on......

Lifetime reporting requirements seems a bit excessive and expensive on the taxpayers. Perhaps a 5 year reporting/probation period would be more practical. These boys did a terrible deed but they are still boys and deserve to have a life after detention. If they don't learn their lesson in rehabilitation, they will find themselves spending their life in the "big house" for the next 20 years.

Were Malik and Trent being kept in the Jefferson County Detention Center for the past two weeks or were they still on house arrest? I heard from someone close to the Agresta's that Malik was with them.

Just asking: Is it a good idea to place them both in the same facility?

Separation may be good for the two of them. Not as punishment, but rehabilitation.
