Mike,

The person who shot the Congresswoman was immediately apprehended and put behind bars. Arizona extradited Jodi Arias and is prosecuting her. Based on the questions submitted by the jury, it looks like Arizona will convict Ms. Arias.

I live in Lehi, Utah not Arizona. Utah also has many problems, but the state aggressively prosecutes criminals when they endanger the public.

When I grew up in Steubenville, my neighbors would immediately call my parents if I was playing in the street after dark or taking short cuts through yards.

The failure to not report a rape or discipline misguided teenagers after committing an awful crime infuriates everyone who comes from and lives in Steubenville. Every town has problems, but that does not exonerate the parents, coaches, and community leaders who are not addressing the problems.

Put the fires out in Steubenville instead of saying that other towns are burning. If not, there will be more victims.

Shining a light on crime in other areas of the country does not remove the shadow that has been cast over the Ville. It doesn't change what happended or where it happened. I doubt folks from Caldwell are complaining about the fact that they live in the place where a serial killer executed his victims. They understand that they happen to live in a place where something horrible has happened. Face the facts: Steubenville is a place where something horrible has happened and too many people permitted it to happen. The actions of a few do not identify the entire community. But, it does identify WHERE it happened.

with all due respect there is thuggery, brutality, conceit and dishonesty all over this country, every week i stand up for this community, i'm sure people are tired of my comments, i can tell by the hateful responses that i receive. look at AZ where you are from, a Congresswomwn gets shot in the head, Jodi Arias on trial right now for stabbing a man over 20 times, slicing his throat from ear to ear , that shooting him in the head. i would never say that the people in the state of AZ have no morals and values, people need to look in their own back yard before thinking how bad the people in Steubenville are. i respect your opinion, but most people in this town are good honorable people.
