STEUBENVILLE — The defense in the Steubenville rape case will try to prove the victim wasn’t so intoxicated that she couldn’t make decisions, but the prosecution said the girl was stumbling as she......

Calling them babes only referred to being young kids. What they did is way beyonf their years.

Someone missed the boat of educating these young men.

The are as wrong as wrong can be; seems like what I have read the prosecution could rest soon.

Except, others may need to be brought forward. Might as well get it all out in the open.

THey seem to have investigated pretty thoroughly so far; hope they didn;t leave any rocks unturned.

Seems like more trials will be coming from what I have read.

Egging someone's house is a bad decision, vandalizing property is a bad decision, sneaking out of your house to meet a boyfriend/girlfriend is a bad decision. Raping, urinating, and humiliating a girl goes way beyond making a bad decision. I understand the judge's decision I just don't agree with it. That has nothing to do with football, most of the world doesn't give a crap about HS football let alone let it influence their opinions like some do. I stand behind the charges Hanlin filed and think they hit hit the nail on the head. There is no big conspiracy, a rape happened and the rapists are being tried in court and will hopefully go away and get the help they need.

They are not babes. They are only one or two years away from being considered adults. I don't think they will have any moral epiphanies in those two years that will change them. They will be men with the same morals they have know. I would not call raping someone making a bad choice. I will not buy they did not know what they were doing was wrong. And then to brag about it and post those awful comments and pictures on the internet. When they are men with the same morals, what then?

Look at their faces; they are babes; that why they are tried as juveniles.

Made poor decisions. And consequences usually follow poor decisions.

The reason they are being tried as juveniles is because a Judge from Hamilton County who has ZERO ties to Steubenville or Steubenville Football heard EVIDENCE, from both sides, and ruled that they were to be tried as Juveniles. Tired of reading crap from you and others that rulings by the Judge are because the two Defendants played on the HS Football Team. If you want to question the decision of the Judge, analyze the reasons he gave for his decision and the evidence that was presented for him to make a ruling. Your comment relects that you are not aware of either one yet believe it is proper to characterize the decision of the Judge as a joke.

Is there a legitimate reason that they are not being charged as adults? Guilty or not, there are 12 year olds getting charged as adults. God forbid these beloved football players have to face the REAL music when it is all said and done. Charging them as Juviniles is a joke.
