If the boys are convicted, their parents should be in the cell next to them. Why is it that some of the boys knew that rape is wrong but the others didn't seem to have a clue? Parents and school officials were not doing these boys a favor when they let them run wild without consequences. Parents: It is time to do your job or pay for the sins of your child.

I may even vote for you. As they say put you money where your mouth is.

The AG need to arrest everyone adult and teenager who either provided the rape house and alcohol or who witnessed the rapes without trying to stop it. That's a lot of stupid people from Steubenville who provided the opportunity and stood by doing nothing to help the rape victim. Stop the COVERUP DeWine!

Now is the time for things to get straightened out. Does our elected Attorney General have the bells to see that it is done?

There is no hatre here, just an outcry for a complete cleanup to a real dirt situation.

A clean sweep as they say.

Responsibility. Respect, Consequences, Apologies.

Big Red Football does not have to suffer...only the offenders.

The up coming tairl next week will be a journalistic feast and an indictment on how and why Steubenville's mentality is examined for thw world to see.

Books and studies have been written on the highly unusual community psycosis of everything high school football and the depravity of ethical & moral behavior in a small town of less than 18,500.

From Steubenville Jill to the Agresta Family on national media, the world raises eyebrows over the twisted mindset. Many from the avaerage person to top professionals in law enforcement & athletics are questioning why Reno Saccoccia and other adults involved are not fired.

Nothing is more important than cheering on teen aged boys playing a weak schedule and their rude abnoxious fans who love them. Rape is just a minor distraction and cover ups are par fpr the course of Steubenville / Jefferson County's long sorted corrupt past & image. So, RRR = Rape Red Rape !

I do not believe that there is a tangible connection between athletics and sexual assaults (rape). I do believe that there is a connection between lack of discipline and rape. Spoiled kids get what they want. If a kid only has to play football, and are praised and protected for it (like big red athletes); what do you expect?

I don't understand why dodgeram50's comment is written identically as mine. Is it that he is in complete agreement or is there a flaw in the comment system?

james T, Careful criticizing the ruling elites of the valley. The HS will not allow critiques of their best buds. Fear you too are about to be censored as have I for making similar comments on here. They WILL NOT PERMIT IT. Good luck to you, I have none getting through, even though I have commented in polite manner.

Maj. Matt: Were I younger and phys. able I would indeed try to do more on behalf of the community. Sadly, I am unable to Severly declining health issues, that render me unable to ambulate. Having said that, I don't know if you were being snarky or serious, but as you commented on perceived anger, yes, I am angry. Anyone who takes an honest look at what has become of the valley, w/o going int all details and still wants to commend our city leaders who have allowed it to turn into what it now is, you are blind to the obvious.. If you are happy with the pathetic mess this city now is, no jobs, gangs, empty bldgs, shootings, murders, and teenaged gang rapes, then I have no doubt you will continue to get what you pay for. At least we have HS sports to make up for the rest Right??? Can't you younger members of our community wake up to the devastation here? Yes, we have good schoolsand bright kids, but haven't you noticed the best and brightest have been abandoning the area post grad.for yrs
