Townships and villages face the same problem. Losing local government moneys is a problem.

Ka$sick wants to dismantle township government, the mopst grass roots form of government.

If other forms of government could do what townships do with so little, we'd all be better off.

Forcing bigger government is not the answer.

Sharing fire and EMS services would make more sense. Why should each township need their own fire and EMS? why not make us a county force or regional service.

Maintaining roads and right of ways is done a lot more effectively by townships where funding is viable.

The State wastes more blacktop in one day, than townships can affords to buy. Forcing the State do pave township roads just wouldn't happen.

Think about that Mr. Ka$sick.

Why is it that it just had to mentioned that only Democrats support the bill and it will be hard to get it passed because the Republicans are in control? Sounds like and Obama move..... blame the Republicans, blame the Republicans. If you know that you are not going to get it passed, why waste your time? Do something that will actually help, find a practical way for the cities and townships and counties to generate revenue or cut expenses, that's what I have to do when I don't have cash.
