MaryEllen, you can have responsible children by raising them properly. You say parents should accompany their children to parties, but being a helicopter parent is not necessary to have good kids. These parents certainly need to give more effort in raising their children, but I do not believe all children need to be accompanied at all times. Children are not inherently rapists; something has gone wrong with this group if the allegations are true, and their parents would not be able to watch them forever. Can you think of a better solution?

The victim's attorney is asking the media to not reveal the victim's name, but the damage has already been done by KYAnonymous. He has revealed her name by releasing the pretrial transcript. Sadly, it seems that not even the self-proclaimed white knight cares about the girl's wellbeing and privacy.

Intresting stuff. I can't imagine that the judge will rule to close the trial, but if he does, I guess the transcript can be obtained after the fact through the AG's office? If so, this may contribute to a plea bargain. IF there is a trial it should be in Jefferson County....Anonymous can intimidate witnesses anywhere. Duh. This kills me. There is soooo much dirty laundry that certain people don't want to air, which will result in the defendants getting a minimal sentence for a maximum crime.. just so other crimes can go completely unpunished. What a joke.

As I stated before a picture is worth a thousand words.

This attorney...smug.

There is no annonominty in this community. Everyone knows every single name (Boys and girls and adults), every sordid detail; let's just get on with it.

Just a ploy to delay proceedings.

Close the trial to cameras, don’t allow victims name to be used in the media, Keep the trial in Jefferson County. Don't provide a special investigator to Madison, His client already went to Cali. Maybe they should have used the vacation money on a special investigator! Subpoena witnesses as needed, & don’t delay this thing any longer.

I am all for bringing in another judge but moving the trial to Franklin county ? No way. The crime was an act of violence and took place in Jefferson County so keep the trial in Jefferson County. I am sure they could hire extra protection. I shutter to think what will happen if these boys are found innocent. Too much evidence stacked against them. They need too just admit too the crime if they did indeed commit it and take their punishment. I am saddened to hear of this. It is indeed sad for everyone involved. Parents do not let your kids go to parties where alcohol is being served better yet unless you accompany them to like family birthday parties all parties should be off limits. Check out where your kids are going. Follow them if you have too. Kids today have way too much freedom and are getting in trouble. No guidance can lead to heaps of trouble. I am praying for everyone involved in this situation. May the truth come out.
