Thank you widowmaker. @ Valley bardone V-man because I don't agree with anything you say because you are another who never uses facts s to support anything you say and that you deny the you are really Bardone you have no credibility. If you pay attention to me you would know that I am neither democrat nor republican because I think they are one in the same. They only differ on the issues that we fight about down here where they only go during campaigning. Every president from Ronald Reagan to Obama has added tp our financila mess. WE have borrowed so much money that we have been bankrupt for thirty years but no one calls in the debt. This government can't even pay back soc. sec. to the tune 2.6 trillion. We didn't get this way on the back of one president or one party. V-man you can call me what you like but I have a more realistic view tha anyone clinging on to either party.

That is fine at this point, Maverick has some valid points, and is willing to hand up verification of what he says. THIS issue is not politically fired so we can deal together. I will leave that debate with MAVERICK for another time where it is more suited.

@Maverick, your playing into his drama. That is all it is. From what I have read in the banter back and forth, Buck isn't smart enough to read a transcript, He is more then likely a liberal as his arguments keep reverting to his cr@p don't stink, He enjoys tossing out flamers just to get the reaction, and NONE of his arguments seem to hold any thought process larger then a bee's brain could muster.

@buckrogers, Answers are 36\London\AU\dunno I live in the area, TORONTO~my name is RICK Boughton~ you can find my address @ whitepages.c0m I think your an idiot, I have read all your statements and I find you to be lacking in evidence of anything you have said. Put up or shut up in your own vernacular.

You know of our community due to its recent media attention. Where did you say you were from when asked? Oh thats right, you are too bright to even put that info out. You have mine now, reciprocate. Let me see what trash I can find in your background or community..Hasta

BuckDODGER, You still haven't posted your towns name which shatters what ever fine thread of credibilty you have. If you have any at all. You must be a total disappointment to your own town. Why don't you go back to Alexandra Goddards' website where ubbfidled idiocy is admired. At least you will be in the company of more two digit IQs. Your stupidity will be accepted with open arms and closed minds.*****your stupidty might be so appreciated that Goddard might take you on one of her media tours where she gets to say 15 words before being completely ignored. Maybe the two of you can get married and have perfect children. If you do be sure to rub them down daily with Preparation H so they don't grow up like you. If you don't post ur home town don't expect a response.

At every single opportunity to show us what you really stand for, you show us what you're really about- from disturbing photos exchanged on social media, to the vid bragging & laughing, to the coach shoving a reporter, to the sheriff screaming at the camera, to the D.A. lying... you know those cameras are there & everyone is watching, and that's what you are putting out there for the World to see!

Your community has no one to blame but yourselves for the mess you created, and you simply don't like it that 'your slip is showing'.

You are an embarrassment to the greater culture of Americana!

Pop quiz for you, Mav: 1) 6x6= ? 2) What's the capitol of Britain? 3) What's the elemetintal symbol for gold? 4) Who was the starting Qback for the Big Red this past season?

I'm easily putting all my chips that you only answered one of those questions without opening a book. *****!

Hey,BuckDODGER, the fact that u till haven't devulged your town shows that u must lack pride in ur community but that's OK becaue I am sure that they are not proud of u. I am now certain that u r an Alexandra Goddard Koolaid drinker because u you dispay her disruptive, lackluster, unsubstantiated verbal vomit, as well a her insurmountable cowardous. Unless u devulge where ur from I will not continue to respond to ur idiocy. I could continue to exchange rudeness with u but I was always told never have a battle of wits with an unarmed man. It's just not fair. I know why you don't bundle your venom laced idiocy and submit as a letter to the editor. It's because you would have to include the name of ur town and they would probably disown u.

Where to begin, Mav... 1) Ad hominim is not an appro argument. But then I suppose you learned your debate skills from that stellar academic program there, that looks like it teaches young men to be drunken thugs rather than fine gentlemen, making vids of their conq & laughing about it.

2) YOU and YOUR community created this mess! NO one else did! Stop your crying & finger pointing and clean up your own d__n house and you wouldn't be under this scrut! F_ing Whiny B_tch!

3) Not one person outside of your bubble of madness is envious of your football program! You are the laughing stock of the country, right behind PSU & Armstrong, if it all wasn't so sad! Get a Clue and clean your house, you bunch of slobs!

Buck, u r clueless. What community r u from to think ur kids r better. U say your parents weren't tolerant of adolescent behavior. Maybe so but the still end up with an A=hole child. Ur staements aren't aimed at bringing justice to the victim. U r taking advantage of this situation to air your prejudices toward Steubenville, its people, their kids anda football team. Are u from one of those comunities that are hiding their ****** problem. Buck u r pathetic using this girl as an opportunity to vent ur prejudice against Steub. Is it because they pass their levies and have a good football team.

Like I said, Mav, you would've been wise to keep your mouth shut-->

1)"Teach your children well"... and that video says it all for what's going on there. 2)"Sympathize for the victim"- no empathy for being stonewalled against a notoriously corrupt police system in a remote village? There is a history/reputation of corruption, 'Good Old Boys' network that caters to the fat-ass football team... Some reputation you got going there. LOL! Like Anonymous pointed out, not one reference to academic success, but pages and pages of the football program... You must be SO proud! 3) "40-50 kids" all drinking and driving around a small town, on a Sat night... where did they get the alcohol? Where were the parents? Where were the police?... What the H_ is going on there?

4) "The kids from Steubenville are not different from any other American kids"--> Yes, they are different! They are rapists and enablers! I know MY parents wouldn't tolerate this behav

Hey Buckwheat, we sympathize with the victim. We admit she desreves juatice. U sound like a Goddard koolade drinker. This community has also been victimizedf by the like of Goddard posting irresponssibly. If u read the transcripts from the probable cause hearing u will realize that this is just a handful of kids who are involved. The 40 or 50 kids at the party did not witness any sexual conduct because it didn't begin until they were in the vehicle after the second party. Prinnie didn't make asny discovery before the authorities she just released them sooner. Everything came out at the trial but Goddard editorialized the facts with her opinion and allowed everyone else to post rumors as fact and now people like you are so hooked on rumors that you continue to make bogus claims. The kids from Steubenville are no different than kids across America. Talk about not caring about the victim...one of the anonymous people posted the victims name to the public. Get a life

God, your whining (about how unfair it all is) and deflection (to other communities) sounds just like the filth out of PSU. There are victims in this story, and you, your community, and especially the football team ain't one of them! You people would be wise to shutup and reflect upon how an incident like this could've even occurred if you're teaching your children properly!

It seems uncertain that the witnesses received a deal for their testimony. If they did their testimony needs to be scrutinized because of inconsistencies. They were read their Miranda rights before testifying which allows them to plead the fifth, which they didn't, but I would imagine that if you struck a deal for your testimony you wouldn't be allowed to take the fifth. So, maybe their will be more charges forthcoming. Before it is over someone may make deal to save himself and give up the others. As I see the testimony so far it will be hard to build a strong case against the two that are charged. The prosecution needs to get tougher in this next round.

At the crux of this case and what I believe the transcript makes obvious is that five people should have been initially charged for crimes related directly to the incidents of that night. Photographic, video and commentary via public social media evidence is and was abundant from the onset to establish just cause and their own testimony collaborates the evidence. In the recent case of the children that were allegedly "taped" in the containers, four people were charged because two did it and two observed it and did nothing based solely on witness testimony, yet in this case, two people allegedly raped a girl and 3 people not only observed it but photographed it video recorded it and disseminated the evidence. Rule of law should be consistent in order to, at the very least, not present even the appearance of impropriety. Just my opinion of course.

Tomorrow the judge will rule on opening the trial to the public. I don't see that happening but it should definitely be open to the news media. After what this community has gone through it is imperative to have daily coverage of the proceedings. The names of the supects, witnesses and the victim have already been devulged in the probable cause transcripts so unfortunately the victim has already lost her ability to remain unnamed. The parents of the homes involved have some quetions to answer but this is not the legal venue for that but after the determinations of guilt associated with the rape case an investigation into the alcohol provided at the parties and the alcohol brought to the parties should take place and charges brought against anyone who provided or purchased alcohol for these kids. If the prosecutors story is questionable it should also be investigated. According to the testimony her son was present at at least one of the first two parties.

Jan-25-13 12:38 AM

Well, Bking I must thank you for directing me to the transcripts. At least now I have a timeline for what happened and where. Some of the testimony is contradictory but the locations of the parties seem to match. There remains a discrpency as to what the victim was or was not wearing when on the floor of Marks house. Which clouds the extent of the rape. One witness claims she was in her bra and denim shorts that were apparently undone anther claims she was naked. It could be that she was viewed at different times which could make them both accurate. The testimoney about what happened at each party suggests thatnothing sexually abusive happened until they left the second party on the way to Marks place. So most of the people who were at least guilty of underage drinking did not witness or participate in the alledged rape which reduces the list of suspects to four possibly five suspects but most likely only two participants. As for the allegation of alcohol at the parties, the witness testimony of all three individuals asked in the initial court hearing stated that they were drinking, some was brought by them, some was at each location. None of the parents or other "adults" were implicated.

Jane Hanlins son was implicated as being there in the testimony making her statement that her son was out of town erroneous

RPG, I must agree with you that there aretimes when videos and even pics can stand alone as evidence. But cannot be used to portray a pic of a whiskey or beer bottle as containing alcohol since evidence must be certain beyond a shadow of a doubt. In all court cases except when prosecuted by the IRS, the burden of proof falls on the prosecution and by law guilt must be proven beyond the shadow of a doubt. It's a good system of justice but sometimes innocent people go to jai and sometimes guilty parties walk. Meting out justice is complex and their are a variety of scenarios where a judge has to through out evidence that he knows proves someones guilt. I don't know if we should tinker with the system or let well enough alone. The bottom line is I would rather stand trial in America than in most other countries. Now, I am going to try to pull up those transcripts which may alter my stance on parts of this issue.

@ Maverick, pictures do account for somthing in a court of law. Survilence photograps and videos are used to prosecute drug cases all the time. If someone went missing and someone made a video describing seeing that person being murdered by "x" person that would most certainly be used as evidence and a probable cause to investigate, arrest, and prosecute a crime. Of all the witnesses that will be called to testify, someone will confirm that alcohol was present at a house and that a young lady was drugged and raped.

@widowmaker, you're welcome of course. What i find telling (amongst other things) is that sworn witness testimony indicates Jane Hanlin's son was present at one of the parties yes in Jane Hanlin public statement she indicates her son was out of town. It can't be both.

@bking13 The transcripts are very concise. I still believe that the boys should have remained incarcerated, or at least not allowed to go on "vacation". Other than that, this is a muddied affair made that much harder by the missing accusations from the victim. Lets see what the court does on feb 13-15th
