Can't this newspaper please do some journalism? Stop regurgitating the words of corrupt officials without critical thinking. No wonder I have to look to out of town media for real info on what's happening in my own backyard. Guess that's what we get when the local paper isn't local anymore. Ogden Newspapers just wants ads, doesn't care about the community it's serving. Wish somebody local would start a real newspaper or website.

I found this elsewhere....is this not a "deal"? In a letter to the three players just days before they testified against their friends and teammates, DeWine wrote that each player "may not have conducted himself in a responsible or appropriate manner, his behavior did not rise to the level of any criminal conduct.... Therefore, we will not prosecute your client for his actions on August 11-12, 2012."

He's not lying, he said "his office did not grant immunity from prosecution in exchange for the testimony of witnesses who photographed and videotaped a 16-year-old...." His office wasn't involved when the deals were made, Jane Hanlin is who made the deals. Remember, the 2 arrests were before the special prosecutors arrived, and the 2 arrests were from the witness testimony. Dewine only says HIS office didn't grant immunity.

(in continuance to my previous post) If a murderer admits to killing someone but the officials never locate the body - wouldn't they still be charged with murder?

It seems very odd to me that just because the videos/pictures were gone that they were not charged....THEY ADMITTED TO DOING IT!

“The rape was just an excuse, I think,” said the 27-year-old Hubbard, who is No. 2 on the Big Red’s career rushing list.

“What else are you going to tell your parents when you come home drunk like that and after a night like that?” said Hubbard, who is one of the team’s 19 coaches. “She had to make up something. Now people are trying to blow up our football program because of it.”

Speaks for itself, doesn't it. Congrat's Big Red -- you have the most appalling, creepy coaches in the country. Now that Penn State got their due.

These parents protecting their kids, girls and boys, should be ashamed of themselves. Girls are worse than boys wanting revenge. Female party goers should be questioned...

Dear Clogged coronary artery....I will go with you on that.

I am hoping that since the boys and men of the town have no bells, that the girls will speak up.

I don't believe that this piece is necessarily pointing to coverup or conspiracy. I am aware of the fact that no can credibly say anything definite outside of the court until it has been tried. To do otherwise is to ruin your case and any possible evidence that is NOT common knowledge. I will believe in conspiracy or coverup if the offenders get a slap on the hand with the knowledge of what IS known publicly.

Again, no mention of any other girls as witnesses, and someone who may know something. ??????????????????

Is this pointing to a conspiracy theory that only guys were around and they took advantage of this young lady?

Again, just asking?
