It appears to me that there are many "crackpots" in the area.

On both sides of the issue.

Why single out one?

Here's an observation: Why has no one mentioned any girls in this investigation? Or were the parties for guys only?

Why didn't some other young lady speak out at the time?

Just asking? Seems likely that girls were at the parties also, and if they weren't seems pretty weird.

Anyone know?

Haven't you heard the message? Women don't have opinions or make decisions about things. They just go out -- at their peril -- and hope to not get raped. It's really a credit to all the men out there that more women aren't getting raped, what with all their alcohol drinking and skirts and legs and suchnot. How silly of them to assume they could go into public, PUBLIC, WITHOUT EVEN A BURKA ON, and return home unraped.

Donning you are an ignorant **** who has no business using sarcasm to undermine the severity of this sick situation. Why don't you do everyone a favor and keep your big mouth shut. Thank you kindly.

Thank you for picking up on the sarcasm. I've been reading your comments in this thread and others, and you are spot on. With my comment here, I was exposing our societal absurdity wherein a woman going out to get drunk, which we have presumably all done at some point, has to factor in rape. Oh hey, you may get raped, but only if you're female and drunk. And by the way, it's your fault.

I'm a guy, but seriously, this is some bs. I hope you can see my intention.

@colkrause - as a female, I've been considering this question myself, and I'm not sure which is scarier---the victim being dragged to parties that were all male attendees---or that there were females present and non of them have the moral fiber or the immediate rise of compunction to change the course of events. I also find it odd that there is no evidence of what students were actually in attendence at all of these parties since its extremely difficult for any teenage not to make use of all the different social medias (instagram seems to be the favorite these days among teens) and cells phones being extensions of every teenagers hands --how is it that is been so difficult in nailing down the factual account of a time line?

Who's houses were they at and why no adult arrest. The coach should lose his job for threatening the reporter. if this is the moral fabric the parents must be great. of big red

A coach at Steubenville said:

“The rape was just an excuse, I think,” said the 27-year-old Hubbard, who is No. 2 on the Big Red’s career rushing list.

“What else are you going to tell your parents when you come home drunk like that and after a night like that?” said Hubbard, who is one of the team’s 19 coaches. “She had to make up something. Now people are trying to blow up our football program because of it.”

This is all you need to know about this town. These football players and coaches are sick human beings.

And I'm a huge football fan. Just not of teams that think being raped is "just an excuse" to stay out late.

There was at least one girl at the party; Mackenzie S. girlfriend of Mark Cole. She's the one who persuaded her "friend" to come to the party. She set her friend up.

New Steubenville motto:
