wow. I thought more of them. I hope they were not telling the truth, because who would not have asked what happened and why it happened that night and helped this boy, if they really cared about him, the right way to act and behave. When a person does wrong, they stand up and take responsibility.

"Jennifer Agresta, a teacher in Steubenville City Schools..."

I'm afraid I would have a real problem with this gal being a teacher of one of my kids.

She and her husband haven't talked to the accused rapist about what happened that night? Are you kidding me? That would be the only topic of conversation if I was in their shoes. At the very least, they should be talking about rape being a hideous crime!!!

Too much is being said about a change in venue. This case has been set to Juvenile court, NOT a trial by JURY. The only person that has any real impact on the case would be the JUDGE. This will not be a jury by peers. this will be a fight between lawyers and 1 judge. No reason to change venue, except maybe for more publicity.

They didn't talk to the boy about that night because they don't see anything wrong with what he did. I am assuming that part. I know if my "son" had been pinged about that night like this kid, I can guarantee I would have been saying different things than " it doesn't matter to us."

"While the Agrestas are no longer Richmond's legal guardians, Judge Thomas Lipps released the 16-year-old to the couple and he remains on monitored home confinement at their residence while awaiting trial."

I wonder why the Agresta's failed to mention in the interview on The Today Show that they had just returned from a six day trip to California on which they took the defendant? So much for monitored home confinement!

It sounds like the world would be a better place if a number of people in that town went ahead and gave up on life.

I hope that what Mrs. Agresta said about what happened to that girl "doesn't matter to us" is a misstatement or taken out of context. If not, it is no wonder that Steubanville has raised a bunch of sociopaths. What person or business would ever consider relocating to such a hellish town?

Kind of makes you wish you could charge someone with being an ignorant piece of trash. I think they should burn along with everyone involved.

What genius decided that these two guys should be tried as "juveniles"? What they did should be considiered ADULT, not juveniles. I wish I knew who made that decision, and if they elected to that position!

Do these people have a daughter, and would they trust this fine young man with her?

On Tuesday, she said she and her husband have not talked to the boy about the night of the alleged rape 'because it doesn't matter to us - we love him regardless of what happened that evening.'

Matters to a lot of Miss Doe.

Hard to believe or conceive.

Madison said sex was consential....admission there was sex; seems to me.

I am going to take a wild guess, not being a law student, that since she was described as "dead" by some, she could NOT consent to anything.
