I wasn't presuming to know what you meant when you said(in quotes btw):

"A girl was raped, and some of those (involved) haven't even been charged,"

So your comment in this thread is a little misleading compared to what you were quoted in the paper.

no I was actually responding to some comments made on here directed at me that were completely false and put my family in danger last night. First, notice that the coverup statement is not in quotes. What I actually said was I do not know if things were handled appropriately and if there is any truth to that it should be looked into. Checks and balances. I accused no one of anything. I made threats to no one like the ones that were made to me and the safety of my family. I do not have a personal interest in this case aside from the fact that I am a mother and am horrified by what is being alleged. I do not know what happened that night as most people don't. My biggest point in my comments were in my opinion the local media failed early on in this case and now the craziest rumors r floating around. I do not believe anyone should be charged with anything w/o evidence! So, with all do respect, do not presume to know what I mean. I only wish the victim justice. Like everyone at the protest

Ms. Cook, you call for people to not assume things that aren’t true – yet you are quoted in the interview saying there is a cover up and that people involved haven’t been charged. Kind of ironic. When you say, “God forbid anyone in this valley stand up for what is right,” do you really mean is, "God forbid anyone in this valley actually look for facts and evidence before making accusations.
