WINTERSVILLE — Jill Lynn Steiner and Edward Dean La Posta of Staunton, Va., are engaged and plan to be married Sept. 5 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dale and Sharren Steiner of Canton. She is a 2002 graduate of Perry High School in Massillon, earned her bachelor’s of science degree in 2006 from Mount Union College and earned a master’s degree from Marietta College in 2008. She is a licensed physician assistant, working in orthopedics. Her fiance is the son of Edward J. La Posta of Las Vegas and Patricia Peckins of Wintersville. He is a 2001 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 2006 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Mount Union College. He is employed as a funeral director and family service advisor in Central, Va.
