WEIRTON — Last week was a bit of a rough one for the Steubenville Post 33 Legion baseball team, but Steubenville got this week off to a good start Wednesday evening against Weirton. Dan DeFallo pitched six shutout innings limiting Post 10 to four singles in the game, and Post 33 produced 10 runs on 11 hits in defeating Weirton, 10-0, in six innings at Bowman Field. “I think the kids were anxious to play today,” Steubenville (11-10) head coach Mark Stacy said. “We came out and put together a good game defensively, offensively and running the bases.” DeFallo struck out three and walked two in picking up the win. Offensively for Post 33, Jordan Teramana tallied three singles and two RBIs, Brian DeFranco delivered a single and an RBI and Anthony Pierro recorded a run-scoring double. Also, Rocco Auteri added a double, Jeremy Banks belted two singles and Anthony Gossett chipped in with a sacrifice fly RBI.
