| | Join me on the tripApril 23, 2008 - Janice KiaskiHello there. I'm not a reader of blogs and never expected to be a writer of one but here I am writing one. If you don't know me, a little about yours truly. I grew up in Richmond (a great little town) and I have been with the Herald-Star since the tail end of 1979 so in the past 29 years I've seen quite a few technoloy changes here at the newspaper. Heck, when I started we were using nothing more than glorified typewriters. Computers? Email? Internet? Blogging? Whoodofthunkit? But here we are on the threshold of something new. When our staff was being versed on this blogging opportunity, we were told this was a chance for some writing described as "tart" or "edgy." Well, readers, I am not a tart person. And I'm usually only edgy when it's that time of the month or maybe when my caffeine levels are a little elevated. As one who adheres to the notion that we all have a purpose in life and that I'm a sinner saved by God's grace, I'm here to embrace this cyberspace chance to connect in a new way and to let this blogging be an opportunity to celebrate the daly blessings of life that are all around us whether we realize it or not. This is a space for commentary on the beauty of living. If you're up for affirming that and not afraid to digest a Bible verse here and there, come aboard and join me on this new journey of observations on everday living. I know we can enjoy the trip together. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
