When will the United States of America just shut up?
February 20, 2014 - Paul Giannamore
I have a simple, revolutionary, and NSA-attracting question today.
If (when?) a revolution takes place in the United States of America, how would President Obama feel if Vladimir Putin, President Assad, and any number of other world leaders decided to make statements about the role of the U.S. military?
Just saying, here, that we’ve got no dogs in the Ukraine’s fight, anymore than we did in Syria.
Yes, people are dying. Yes, that’s awful.
But on what moral high ground do we continue to be the world cop without being asked?
We couldn’t afford the wars we’ve been in since 2001.
Short, sweet and to the point today.
When it comes to the Ukraine, unless asked, we need to keep our mouths shut.
Or, perhaps, a return to the Cold War would stabilize the world economy by putting all those missile factories and the defense industry back to full-time work.
