Glad to see the Lakers roll over and die for the Celtics.
Yup, that's sarcasm.
For the vaunted Western Conference, with nine teams above .500 in the regular season, Boston came in and whipped its best team. And, whipped them rather badly.
For a guy who grew up watching Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Worthy and Michael Cooper, Game 6 was a disgusting display of basketball by the Lakers.
And, by the way, what in the world is Phil Jackson doing playing Chris Mihm in Game 5?
Paul Pierce proved he can flat play. Kevin Garnett grabbed a ring, along with Ray Allen and Boston made nice late moves in picking up Sam Cassell and P.J. Brown.
Doc Rivers proved he can coach.
I just can't believe the Lakers quit ... did not show up.
The junior high girls basketball team I help coach played harder in a 52-8 loss than the Lakers did Tuesday night.
That was embarrassing.
Los Angeles was not a worthy opponent for Boston.
