All Will Be Revealed

On August 22, 2012, the Herald-Star and Weirton Daily Times Pigskin Preview will hit the streets.

It's perhaps the most eagerly anticipated publication produced here at the paper, and it's for good reason. The amount of information is outstanding, the photos draw you in, and the special supplement comes complete with schedules, rosters and predictions.

Whew.

That's a lot of work. Thankfully, the Herald-Star and Weirton Daily Times sports staff is up to the challenge.

I was lucky enough to get an early peek at the cover and the content before it headed to the press. The football fans up and down the Valley will not be disappointed.

Special congratulations go out to Mike Mathison, the newspaper's sports editor. He has worked long hours trying to get all the photos and text information inside.

A few facts: The 2012 football preview is a whopper. A grand total of 120 pages. It has a glossy cover. The whole section is printed in FULL COLOR on brighter paper. A small snippet of the photo cover shoot is included with this blog post. Yes, it is a gas drilling rig.

One other fact: Football fans will love it. Look for it on Aug. 22 and enjoy. A lot of hard work went into it, and it shows.
