April 3, 2012 - Mike Mathison
After looking through the pairings for Thursday and Friday at Augusta National, there are only three threesomes worth watching.

The first one is the 9:29 a.m. time Thursday and 12:47 p.m. Friday with Trevor Immelman, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose. It's an interesting threesome because you never really know what you are going to get from any of them at any given time. I do want to see Fowler in all green on Sunday, though, will be an interesting color combo.

The second is at 11:52 a.m. Thursday and 8:45 a.m. Friday with Zach Johnson, Ian Poulter and amateur Patrick Cantlay. Johnson is a former winner and Poulter can flat play. Cantlay, an amateur at UCLA, thinks he can win the tournament. He tied for 21st and was the low amateur at the 2011 US Open.

The best one, to me, though, is 1:42 p.m. Thursday and 10:35 a.m. Friday with Angel Cabrera, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson. All three can hit it a bajillion miles and are just fun to watch. Cabrera kills it and tamed Oakmont in 2007. We saw what McIlroy did last year before his fourth found meltdown and followed that by whipping Congressional. And, Bubba, is a joy to watch.

Gonna be fun.

I still call a Phil Mickelson win down the stretch over McIlroy.
