Kleenex please

March 14, 2011 - Mike Mathison
The NFL Players Association, which I thought decertified making no more NFLPA, is now discouraging college players from attending the NFL draft next month.

Can't these guys just shut up.

I now officially would like to see the owners dig in their collective heels and watch the 2011 season come and go without a snap. The owners can financially handle this, while the players cannot.

It has gone from plain stupid to obvious pettiness.

The players claim the owners wanted a lockout all along and quarterback Drew Brees said the latest offer from the owners was just for show.

The players then decertify which, by all accounts, is what they wanted to do in the first place.

No one is going to benefit from the NFL players telling the college players to stay home. At a time when the players need all the good PR they can get, they turn around and stab themselves in the back.

If this happens, fans will no longer care about the players and their beefs with the owners. The fans will only see players act like 4-year-olds.

I'm tired of DeMaurice Smith, the players and all of this.

Seriously, I can go a full year without watching Norv Turner choke away another playoff year for the Chargers.
