Saving gas, are you?
May 20, 2008 - Paul Giannamore
During the past couple of weeks, as gas shot above $3.70 a gallon, I've put the Enrico Cruiser into the slow lane.
We're finding life at 55 mph and 63 mph on the highways does two things: Driving at the limit or just under on a 65 mph highway makes the drive pretty much more relaxing. We get passed by just about everything, but so what? We catch them all at the Route 213 traffic signal.
And, the Cruiser is getting above 25 mpg for the first time in the nine months I've been driving him regularly. Normally, it's about 22 or 24.
So, what steps are you taking to save fuel? Driving slower? Driving less? Carpooling? Motorcycle commuting?
Tell me what you're doing. Share. Life's better when we share. Or something. At least we can have a conversation. It's better than just complaining, because they're not going to lower the gasoline prices if we just whine.
