Mexican Health Authorities?
April 27, 2009 - Paul Giannamore
Before I put on a mask and stop shaking hands with everyone, I will consider this: The world is panicking because Mexican health authorities say a flu epidemic is killing people by the hundreds.
Excuse me, but isn't Mexico the same place that exports bad onions, lettuce and meat?
And, for that matter, I'm of the age where I remember the "swine flu" outbreak in the mid-1970s, when the government's chosen flu vaccine actually made more people sicker, including paralysis, than the flu itself might have.
Wash your hands, ignore the broadscare folks on the TV and the Web and, go on with life.
Unless you have a sore throat and fever. Then take two aspirin and call somebody who cares.
