Be careful what you buy

To the editor:

I never thought it would happen to me, but it did. I try to be very careful, but I got scammed, and it happened early last fall.

They said they were selling cookies for a local junior high school band for their grandchild.

There were other names on the list, also. They had all the paper work on the paper and pictures of cookie dough. I chose my cookie dough and made my payment and was told they would come by Thanksgiving. Well, that holiday came and went, and there were no cookies.

The school was called several times by myself and my husband. We were told it would be fixed for us. I told them it was a scam, and they said it was not.

Well, it’s 2019, and their promises to settle this problem have not been kept.

So, I tell you, do not buy anything from people who say they are representing schools that are raising money unless you know the children.
